The school is committed to continuous improvement, achieving excellence in teaching and learning, and ensuring high-quality learning programs that are engaging and stimulating across all areas of the curriculum.

Our 2007 - 2011 Strategic Plan focuses on continuous improvement in English and mathematics as well as an emphasis on critical and analytical thinking. Staff have a strong commitment to the integration of Information and Communication Technology across all areas of the curriculum.

We believe in challenging all students to strive for their potential, and therefore offer an innovative curriculum that caters to every member of our student community across all ability levels. The school provides a holistic education that offers a variety of extracurricular programs such as our Environment group, Clubs program and special projects with our hub annex school Buxton Primary School. Our Kids Hope Mentoring Program is strongly supported.

We are fortunate to have a very active group of parents who continue to be involved in a wide variety of activities, and offer successful Outside School Hours Care and Vacation Care programs.
