Runcorn State High School

Melbourne School introduces Runcorn State High School in Runcorn, for all your education and learning needs.

Runcorn State High School is located in the southern suburbs of Brisbane and services the communities of Runcorn, Runcorn Heights, Sunnybank Hills, Kuraby, Eight Mile Plains, Algester and parts of Logan City. It was established in 1986.

The school has a stable population of 1100 which consists of a multicultural component. Students generally travel to the school by bus, car or train. Around 30 students participate in programs offered in conjunction with the school’s Special Education Unit for hearing-impaired and speech language impaired students.

The general demeanour of the student body as reported by those who visit the school, and by the school staff, as being of an excellent standard, as is the personal presentation of the students.

Our school motto “Participation with Commitment” effectively captures our intent as an educational organisation – all students to be active enthusiastic participants in learning so as to make the most of the opportunities available to them at Runcorn High.
