Oberon is an industrial town in a rural setting with timber being the dominant industry. The school was established in 1872 and re-established as a primary school in 1993, having been a central school since 1944. The school grounds are attractive with sheltered play equipment, grassed areas and many trees. Teachers personally value each student in their care and promote a warm family atmosphere.
