Aetaomah is a small school, Kindergarten to Year 8 based on the educational work of Dr Rudolf Steiner It is nestled in the picturesque hills near Mt Warning, near the Qld/NSW border, beside the upper reaches of theTweed River.

The curriculum is organized in accordance with the physical, social and emotional development of the child. Subjects or aspects of subjects are taught at the time most suited to the age of the children. Fractions, for example, are best taught in 4th class when the children are becoming more aware of themselves in relation to the world and are in a sense fragmenting it.

The teaching of writing and reading formally begins in 1st class as a new freedom is occurring in the young person’s limbs and development is occurring in the thought-life.
